PoliTo Studio is a joint initiative by the Politecnico di Torino and the Order of Architects of Turin, created to promote international professional opportunities for registered architects. The project focuses on training and support in international markets, with particular attention to China and Latin America, where the University has an established presence.
Objective
Develop a website that represents the PoliTo Studio initiative, aligned with the visual identities of both the Order of Architects of Turin and the Politecnico di Torino. The website should effectively showcase multimedia content and facilitate the updating of the project's various editions.
Design and development of the website
The graphic design adopts blue as the primary color, in continuity with the identity of the Order. The visual identity is completed by the sans-serif font Afacad, an open-source font developed by Atipo Foundry, chosen for its readability and versatility, making it suitable for both body text and headings.
The PoliTo Studio website, developed in WordPress, is structured into thematic sections dedicated to projects in China and Latin America, with subsections documenting the activities carried out over different two-year periods, the partners involved, the local hubs, and the evolution of the initiative across various international contexts.
The Observatory section of the website is dedicated to the analysis of international best practices that integrate the academic and professional worlds, offering insights for effective collaboration between research and design. Through interviews and case studies, it highlights successful models and innovative approaches that strengthen the dialogue between theory and practice in the field of architecture.
